Tsaghkadzor ski resort (Armenia)

Tsaghkadzor is the largest and most famous ski resort in Armenia, located at an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level, 60 kilometers from Yerevan and 20 kilometers from the stunning mountainous Lake Sevan.

The slopes of Mount Teghenis with their wide and not too steep ski runs will make beginners as well as Tsakhkadzor skilled guests feel like a professional skier or snowboarder.

The total length of perfectly prepared ski runs is more than 30 kilometers. The terrain varies from gentle green tracks for beginners to quite steep and fast red and black ski runs, where athletes and even some national mountain ski teams train.

All the cable ways in Tsakhkadzor have been re-equipped and now they have new powerful chairlifts manufactured by the company Leitner, and the first line of the cable way is equipped with seat heating. There are also 2 chairlifts to the ridges of the neighboring mountains. Several rope enable beginners to train their skills without going to the top.

The altitude difference at the resort is considerable and amounts to 850 meters, the longest ski run stretches for almost 8 kilometers.

The resort has a Rescue Service and Medical Center.

The resort has an excellent аprès-ski entertainment infrastructure. There are many restaurants, small cafes, a winter ice rink, and even the Orbeli Brothers Museum are located in the heart of the resort and are open all year round.

The skiing area is a little far from the center of the Tsakhkadzor residential complex, but right next to the lifts you can find all kinds of hotels and accommodation.
